Film photography cooperative and workshops
District Darkroom is a traditional black and white photographic darkroom in Coburg (Melbourne Vic AU). We exist to provide the opportunity for cooperative members the chance to feel, see and smell the magic of shooting, processing and printing their own film photos.
We are passionate about film photography, sharing skills and enhancing community for photographers in Melbourne and beyond. Escape the computer and AI and create images in a fully analog way.
Please note, District Darkroom is located in a mid-century building and unfortunately there is no ramp access. Reach out on the contact form If you are really excited by traditional film photography but have problems tackling stairs.

Cooperative membership is currently full. We have a limited number of places to ensure good darkroom access for members.
