Black and White experience

Have you been shooting film and just getting it scanned and been thinking that you are missing out on something in this whole film photography thing? Have you always wondered about printing in the darkroom but not known how to get started?

Our Black and White experience is a free taste of darkroom magic just for photographers like you. Come along and we will do a mini-workshop and get you to make your first real darkroom print. It is just going to touch on the real basics of printing but it will let you see if the darkroom is for you. We will do a quick assessment of contrast, show you how an enlarger works, make a test strip and do a simple print. You will get to take your work home as well.

We ran our first black and white experience 26 and 27 October and it was a great success. We had a lot of really good and enthusiastic film photographers in the darkroom who made some really beautiful first prints (or first prints in ages). Check our Insta for some samples. Darkroom, enlarger, paper and chemistry are all there you just need a black and white negative to print from, a booking and some enthusiasm.
